Silent Socks furniture pads have undergone rigorous testing at SP, the Swedish Technical Research Institute in Borås, to ensure high quality and wear resistance. A comparative study was conducted between Silent Socks and some common furniture pads/felt pads, and the results show that Silent Socks exhibit outstanding wear resistance.

In the test, a chair loaded with 50 kg was subjected to forward and backward movements over a distance of 40 cm in each direction. Impressively, the test was interrupted after 40,000 cycles, and Silent Socks were still completely intact. The next best pads in the test broke after only 23,000 cycles. This test was performed on linoleum flooring and clearly demonstrates the superior durability of Silent Socks.

Installing Silent Socks furniture pads is easy and requires no tools. They can be quickly and easily fitted to chair or table legs, and there is no need to remove the original plastic pads on steel tube legs before installation. Thanks to the internal support, Silent Socks still fit securely on the furniture.

To maintain Silent Socks and keep them in optimal condition, we recommend vacuuming them when they become dusty. If they are more heavily soiled, they are easy to wash. Simply remove the entire Silent Socks, including the inner rubber ball, from the chair or table legs and wash the product in the washing machine on the wool cycle at 30-40°. After washing, tumble dry the Silent Socks until they are dry. For best results, leave them in a warm, airy place for a few hours before reattaching them to the chairs or tables.
