PES Ceiling Deep Absorb – a 100 mm thick ceiling-mounted sound absorber for demanding acoustic environments
PES Ceiling Deep Absorb is an extra-deep ceiling-mounted sound absorber, developed for rooms where acoustic requirements are more demanding than usual. With a thickness of 100 mm, the absorber provides powerful sound absorption and effectively reduces reverberation, echoes, and disruptive ceiling reflections in environments such as offices, studios, schools, restaurants, conference rooms, technical spaces, and other areas with hard surfaces or large open volumes.
The absorber is available in three colors—white, gray, and black—as well as in five sizes: 592x592 mm, 800x800 mm, 1000x1000 mm, 1200x600 mm, and 1200x900 mm. The needle-punched, fabric-free surface provides a clean and discreet look, while the construction is robust, dimensionally stable, and designed for long-term use.
Maximum sound absorption for ceilings
PES Ceiling Deep Absorb is specifically designed to address acoustic issues that often arise in ceiling surfaces. When sound bounces between ceilings, walls, and floors, reverberation is created that can make the room uncomfortable to be in. The extra thickness of 100 mm allows the absorber to capture more sound energy than thinner solutions and provides improved performance even in more demanding frequency ranges.
In open-plan offices, the absorber contributes to better concentration and reduced acoustic stress. In schools and educational settings, speech intelligibility is improved, while in studios and conference rooms it creates a more controlled sound environment. In technical spaces and industrial environments, it can help reduce noise from machinery, ventilation, and other equipment.
Safe, hygienic, and sustainable material
PES Ceiling Deep Absorb is made from OEKO-TEX®-certified polyester that is free from harmful substances, strong odors, and allergens. The material is mold-resistant, is not adversely affected by moisture, and retains its shape and function over time.
The compact needle-punched surface is durable and easy to clean with a vacuum cleaner or by gently wiping. This makes the product well-suited for environments where hygiene, sustainability, and low maintenance are key factors, such as schools, offices, healthcare settings, public spaces, and professional workplaces.
Stylish design with flexible installation options
With its five formats and three neutral colors, PES Ceiling Deep Absorb can be adapted to many different types of rooms and architectural styles. The panels feature a straight-cut edge profile and can be installed individually, in a line, or in larger groups to create a cohesive acoustic solution on the ceiling.
The 100 mm thick construction gives the product a clean and professional look while contributing to very high sound absorption. This makes the absorber suitable both where the function should be discreet and where the acoustic solution can be a visible part of the interior design.
Installation Options
PES Ceiling Deep Absorb offers several installation options to suit different ceilings, installation requirements, and acoustic needs.
Without mounting accessories
This option provides complete freedom to use your own mounting methods, such as adhesive, screws, or integration into the supporting structure, depending on the ceiling’s construction.
With mounting brackets
When installing with mounting brackets, 4 mounting brackets are included for the sizes 592x592 mm, 800x800 mm, and 1000x1000 mm, as well as 6 mounting brackets for other sizes. Choose between mounting brackets – 0 mm clearance for ceiling-flush installation or mounting brackets – 50 mm clearance, which creates a 50 mm air gap for increased sound absorption.
With wire suspension
When selecting wire suspension, a wire kit designed for stable suspension is included. Each kit contains a coil spring, a wire with an eye, and a carabiner with an adjustable clamp. Hooks for ceiling mounting are not included and must be selected based on the specific ceiling structure.
What is the difference between mounting brackets – 0 mm spacing and mounting brackets – 50 mm spacing?
Mounting brackets – 0 mm spacing mount the absorber directly against the ceiling without an air gap. Since the PES Ceiling Deep Absorb is 100 mm thick, the total projection is approximately 100 mm.
Mounting brackets – 50 mm spacing create an air gap of approximately 50 mm between the sound absorber and the ceiling. The total projection is then approximately 150 mm. The air gap improves sound absorption and is particularly recommended in spaces with high ceilings, hard surfaces, or where maximum acoustic performance is desired.
The choice between flush and spaced mounting therefore comes down to balancing a discreet, ceiling-hugging appearance with the highest possible sound-absorbing effect. For the best acoustic results, spaced brackets are often the strongest option, while flush brackets are suitable when a more compact installation is prioritized.
A future-proof and circular option
PES Ceiling Deep Absorb is made from recycled polyester and is fully recyclable. This makes it a sustainable choice for projects where long service life, low environmental impact, and circular material choices are key components of the overall solution.
The absorber resists moisture, mold, and deformation and requires minimal maintenance even in high-traffic environments. For those seeking a ceiling-mounted sound absorber with very high acoustic performance, robust construction, and a stylish design, PES Ceiling Deep Absorb is a reliable and professional choice.
